The Union County Housing Authority presented the Charles W. Winslow Memorial Award to Carol Budd, Family Community Engagement Director of Snyder Union Mifflin Child Development (SUMCD). The Award was presented to Ms. Budd at a luncheon held at the Country Cupboard in Lewisburg. Also in attendance was Susan Snyder, SUMCD CFO.

The award for service is given to someone who has made a significant contribution to housing or housing issues in Union County and has contributed time to benefit Union County residents.

Ms. Budd serves on the Resources for Housing Board, and is highly knowledgeable of local and federal services available. She works directly with individuals, referring people in need to community and government organizations for appropriate assistance. She is passionate about her work with the less fortunate and works tirelessly to ensure that children and families are “taken care of.”

The Housing Authority provides award recipients with one hundred dollars ($100) to be donated to an agency of the award recipient’s choice. Ms. Budd selected the Greater Susquehanna Valley United Way to receive the donation.
