Operations Director
Excellent opportunity to be in an upper management position for an agency which provides high quality early childhood education services in multiple counties.

The Operations Director will provide leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that SUMCD has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and support systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to operate efficiently. This position will provide leadership and oversight of agency support systems, specifically the Building and Grounds, Data/Quality Assurance, Information/Technology, and Transportation.

Requirements that must be satisfied prior to hire: a) education qualifications as listed below, b) proof of degree/certification and experience to meet the qualifications of the position, c) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record check, d) successful completion of pre-employment physical examination which includes a Tuberculosis screening. Salary range starts at $48,563/year depending upon qualifications. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field. In lieu of an Associate’s degree,
5 consecutive year experience will be considered.
Minimum five years’ experience in project management.
Minimum three years supervisory experience.
Preferred: Experience in not-for-profit sector.

Education Services Coordinator
Excellent opportunity to be in a management position for an agency which provides high quality early childhood education services in multiple counties. Manage and oversee the daily operations of early childhood education, disabilities, and mental health services to guarantee high quality and customer satisfaction. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and guidance, including Head Start performance standards for education, disability, and mental health services. Coordinate and supervise community-based classrooms in collaboration with school districts and intermediate units. Supervise Education Assistant Coordinators.

Requirements that must be satisfied prior to hire: a) education qualifications as listed below, b) proof of degree/certification and experience to meet the qualifications of the position, c) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record check, d) successful completion of pre-employment physical examination which includes a Tuberculosis screening. Salary range starts at $43,217/year depending upon qualifications. QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or one of the following related fields, with 30 credits in early childhood education: special education, elementary education, psychology, or sociology; 5 years’ employment experience in early care and education including preschool teaching experience; and 2 years’ supervisory experience in early care and education

Preferred: 2 years’ experience in early childhood program administration and operations, plus the required degree with an understanding of early care and education/child development current theories and best practices
