EARLY HEAD START HOME VISITOR
Location:  Snyder and Union County
Summary of Duties:
Excellent opportunity to work for an agency which provides high quality early childhood education services in multiple counties, including Head Start and Early Head Start. Deliver home-based Early Head Start services to families.
Education and Background Qualifications: Preferred background should include two plus years’ experience in services with infants/toddlers and one year’s experience working with families in a home-based setting. Minimum requirement is a CDA in home-based or infant/toddler, prefer Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
Hourly Wage Range: Salary range starts at $13.41/hour (CDA) – $15.17/hour depending upon qualifications.  Excellent benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurances, PAID time off, PAID Holidays and PAID sick leave, retirement plan. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR
Location:  Snyder and Union County
Summary of Duties:
SUMCD is seeking a motivated, energetic person to join our office team. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be a self-starter, with excellent time management and organizational skills. This position will supervise assigned administrative assistants and provide administrative support. Work will be performed under general rather than specific instructions, and successful candidate must have excellent computer/technology skills including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, publishing, and presentation software.
Education and Background Qualifications: Minimum requirement of an associate’s degree in business management, or related discipline plus at least 3 years’ experience, preferably in the community services/non-profit sector. In lieu of the required degree, 5+ years of experience in a high paced work environment with increased responsibility may be considered. Supervisory skills preferred.
Hourly Wage Range: Salary range starts at $13.41 – $13.95/hour depending upon qualifications.  40 hours/week; 260 days/year. FAMILY SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Location: Snyder County

Summary of Duties: Full time position (240 days/year, Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day) for our agency which provides high quality early childhood education services in Snyder, Union, and Mifflin counties. Facilitate relationships among the home, the parents, community agencies, and resources and the staff in Head Start classes. Provide a planned program of experience and activities that support and enhance the parents’ role as the principal influence in their child’s education and development within the Head Start program. Must have the ability to work with cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic diverse populations, work independently plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills plus office management skills. Knowledge and skills required; ability to communicate effectively; willingness to learn; motivation and self-discipline to learn independently.
Education and Background Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; or Associate’s degree in human services related degree; or High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer experience working with families. SUMMIT EARLY LEARNING CENTER FOR SCHOOL AGE ASSISTANT TEACHER
Location: Lewisburg Area

Summary of Duties: Seeking a dependable, motivated individual to work with school age children. Position is full time at 32.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday. Must possess child behavior management skills which supports learning in a relaxed, calm classroom environment.
Education and Background Qualifications: Minimum qualification is a high school diploma plus two years’ experience working with school age children. Requirements that must be satisfied prior to hire: a) proof of degree/certification and experience to meet the qualifications of the position; b) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record check; c) successful completion of pre-employment physical examination that includes a Tuberculosis screening.

Location: Strode Mills Head Start Program
Summary of Duties: Transport children and parents to and from program activities. Full-time position.
Qualifications: Proof of a safe driving record, proper insurance, and current Commercial Driver’s License with S endorsement, have been a licensed driver for at least the past 5 years; high school diploma or GED.
Knowledge and skills required: Safe driving skills and child behavior management which supports safe transportation.
