In addition to the completed application, employment offers are contingent upon an acceptable Act 34 (Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check) clearance. Location: Coleman Children’s Center
Summary of Duties: The head start assistant teacher will assist in the delivery of Head Start services to a group of children and their families, consistent with the program plan of SUMCD. HEALTHY FAMILIES AMERICA HOME VISITOR
Location: Mifflin County
Summary of Duties: Conduct family home visits that support and enhance the parents’ role as the principal influence in their child’s nurture and development, link families with community resources, encourage and support parent involvement and participation. See Job Description for complete details.
Qualifications: Required: CDA in home-based or infant/toddler. Preferred: Associate’s degree in early childhood education or related field and 2 years’ experience in services with infants/toddlers/preschoolers and 1 year experience working with families in a home-based setting.

HEALTH TECHNICIAN
​Location: Mifflin County ​Office
Summary of Duties: Assist with appointments and record keeping of children’s health and dental services. Assist with annual Head Start Health Fair/screenings and necessary follow-up screenings. Record screenings in children’s health records at office.Transport children and parents to dental and medical services when necessary. Transport parents and children to health and social service agencies, when needed. This position is 220 days/year, 35 hours/week. See Job Description for complete details.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; prefer 2 years’ experience in an early childhood setting.
Salary Range: $9.93 -$10.33/hour depending on experience.

TODDLER ASSISTANT HEAD TEACHER

BEFORE/AFTER SCHOOL ASSISTANT HEAD TEACHER
Location: Juniata County, Mountain View Elementary School
Summary of Duties: Work with school-age children, before and after school.
