Family and Community Resource Specialist – Healthy Families America program in Mifflin County is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to initiate initial and ongoing community outreach and parent engagement. Duties include conducting assessment, providing resources to families, facilitating relationships among the parent and community agencies, and providing programming to support parent’s role as the first and most important teacher. Requires an associate’s degree in social work, sociology or psychology or RN or LPN or the equivalent of 2 years post secondary credits in social work, sociology or psychology and a strong belief in the value of early childhood education and home visiting programs. Prefer one year of experience in home visiting and a bachelors degree in social work, sociology or psychology.
