Assistant Fiscal Coordinator: SUMCD, a progressive, private, non-profit agency, which provides high quality early childhood education services, seeks a motivated individual for their fiscal department at their Mifflinburg, PA headquarters. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. Head Start Teacher: Full time Head Start teacher position (classroom is located at the Midd-West High School in Middleburg). 192 days/year (basically follows school year calendar plus “stretch calendar” hours throughout summer months); $13.19 to $14.87/hour depending on qualifications and experience. Required: An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ECE) or a related degree with 30 credits in ECE. The Head Start Teacher leads an inclusive classroom and delivers Head Start services to a group of 3-5 year olds and their families, including home visits and parent/teacher conferences. Family and Community Resource Specialist – Healthy Families America (HFA) program:  full time position to initiate initial and on-going community outreach and recruitment for HFA.  Conduct and complete assessment to determine eligibility for HFA. Provide resources.  Facilitate relationships among the parent, community agencies and HFA staff. Within the HFA guidelines, provide a planned program of experiences and activities that support and enhance the parents’ role as the principal influence in their child’s nurturing and development. Education/Experience Required: An associates degree in social work, public relations/marketing or related field is required. A strong belief in the value of early childhood education and home visiting programs. Preferred Education/Experience: One year of experience in home visiting and a Bachelors degree in social work, public relations/marketing or related field or a nursing background and experience in pediatrics or obstetrics/gynecology.
