Snyder Union Mifflin Child Development, Inc. Agency Nurse: Full time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day position. Assist in implementing the Health/Nutrition program services, including medical, dental, and nutrition subparts; plus assist in coordinating health services with all other programs services, for agency which provides services for Head Start, Pre-K Counts, and Child Care program. Position will work with families primarily in the Snyder County area. Must have the ability to work with cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic diverse populations, work independently, plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Family Support Assistant: Full time position (240 days/year, Monday through Friday, 8 hours/day) for an agency which provides high quality early childhood education services. The successful candidate will work with families primarily in the Selinsgrove area. Responsibilities include the facilitation of relationships between the home, the parents, community agencies, and resources and the staff in Head Start classes. Provide a planned program of experience and activities that support and enhance the parents’ role as the principal influence in their child’s education and development within the Head Start program. Must have the ability to work with cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic diverse populations, work independently plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills plus office management skills.

Early Head Start Teacher Positions :Full time positions available  providing high quality early childhood education services. Positions located in the Mifflinburg/Middleburg area through a center-based program. Must have the ability to work with cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic diverse populations, work independently, plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Teacher I: Infant Toddler CDA
Teacher II: associate’s degree in ECE or BA/BS in related field with less than 15 credits

Assistant Teachers: Full time positions in  a preschool setting and part time positions working with school age children. Assist in the classroom helping to deliver services to a group of children and their families, maintain discipline and help children on bus as needed. Behavioral Health Specialist: Provides short term, home-based support and intervention services to families that are enrolled in either the Early Head Start or Healthy Families America programs. The position will focus on nurturing and enhancing parent/child relationships to increase bonding and attachment, promote child and family health and well-being, prevent adverse childhood experiences, support family functioning for reunification, and link families to appropriate services within the community.

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Human Services. Specialized training in Mental Health, Infant Toddler Development, Family Dynamics and Functioning, Crisis Intervention, Infant Mental Health and Trauma Informed Practice. One year with pregnant women and families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Two year’s experience working with at risk families for abuse and neglect including emergency assistance, crisis intervention, advocacy and behavioral health support.

Preferred: Master’s Degree Infant Mental Health, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology; Certification in Counseling or Infant Mental Health. One year experience in home visiting.

Early Head Start Assistant Coordinator: Middle management position for an agency which provides high quality early childhood education services in multiple counties. The successful candidate will manage and oversee the daily functioning of  EHS services. Coordinate programs, services, and staff in both the center- and home-based services. Serve as liaison to agency partners serving Early Head Start children with Individual Family Service Plans and/or active enrollment in specialized services, etc. (such as, Intermediate Unit, Mental Health organizations). A strong belief in the value of early childhood education and Head Start/Early Head Start programs;  Problem solving, group facilitation, and the ability to work well with others; Child Development curricula. Experience with Head Start regulations preferred.

Education and Experience Required:
