In addition to the completed application, employment offers are contingent upon an acceptable Act 34 (Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check) clearance. HEAD START ROVING SUBSTITUTE

CENTER FOR SCHOOL AGE DEVELOPMENT (CSD)
Location:  Snyder, Union, and Northumberland Counties

Seeking staff for various Teacher and Assistant Teacher positions (FT and PT). We are seeking creative, energetic, and highly motivated individuals who are willing to step in where needed and enjoy working with school age children.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have high school diploma or equivalent; prefer experience and Associate’s degree. $9.20 – $9.70/hour depending on experience and qualifications for assistant teacher positions; $9.86 – $15.17/hour for teacher level positions. CHILDREN’S CENTER DIRECTOR

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field, with a minimum of 30 credits in early childhood education OR early childhood certification and experience required; Possession of Directors Credential and supervisory experience preferred.

CSD CLASSROOM SUPPORT STAFF
Location: Lewistown Elementary School, Lewistown
Summary of Duties: Assist the head teacher in the CSD classrooms, working with school-aged children before and after school.
Qualifications: High school diploma and two years experience working with young children. Prefer a CDA or 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or human services field, plus 1 year’s work experience.

ROVING SUBSTITUTE
Location: Mifflin County SUMCD sites
Summary of Duties: As assigned, work at sites in Mifflin County as a cook, bus monitor or in the classroom. Full-time position.
Knowledge and skills required: effective time management, motivation and self-discipline to learn independently. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive. Willing to obtain a CDA.
Qualifications: High school diploma. Prefer two years of experience working with children.

BUS DRIVER
Location: Strodes Mills Head Start Program
Summary of Duties: Transport children and parents to and from program activities. Full-time position.
Qualifications: Proof of a safe driving record, proper insurance, and current Commercial Driver’s License with S endorsement, have been a licensed driver for at least the past 5 years; high school diploma or GED.
Knowledge and skills required: Safe driving skills and child behavior management which supports safe transportation.
