Snyder/Union EHS Visits Alpacas at Patchwork Farm

Snyder/Union Early Head Start classes visited Patchwork Farm in Selinsgrove. The farm raises Alpacas. The children and their families were able to pet the animals and see how soft their wool is. Parents from the preschool classes at Lewistown Children’s Center participated in a “Make It – Take It” on Thursday, May 10. Union County Sheriff and Eddie Eagle Visit SHSCC

Union County Deputy Sheriff Jared Mowen and “Eddie Eagle” visited Selinsgrove High School Children’s Center to talk to children about gun safety. Eddie Eagle’s motto: “Stop–Don’t Touch–Run Away from the Area–Tell An Adult.”              

Kids and Dads Tour Selinsgrove Airport

This year’s “Dad’s Day” activities in Union and Snyder Counties included a trip to the Selinsgrove Airport. The children toured the airport and met the pilots, sat on the wing of the plane and in the pilot’s seat, and learned about how planes fly.
